What does a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) do?A Registered Holistic Nutritionist have received a Diploma in Natural Nutrition and focus on root health issues. Using Nutritional education as a primary tool, they analyze the connection between the whole physical body, including mental health, emotional, as well as spiritual and environmental aspects of one’s life and being. Our education is to identify the root and underlying factors that are contributing to adverse symptoms. RHN's recognize that each person, requires unique approaches to attain optimal health. This means an in-depth assessment of diet & lifestyle, including identifying biochemical imbalances and toxicities that contribute to poor health, featuring personalized meal plans, nourishing foods, tailored protocols with natural-sourced supplements (including vitamins and minerals) to address identified deficiencies or current needs, stress management techniques, and lifestyle recommendations for optimal health and well being.

Are your services covered by my medical plan?Short answer — maybe. Some extended health plans do cover Nutrition services/counselling. Check your benefit coverage as Nutrition may be included in the paramedical services or as a flex/health plan option. Please note that all services must be paid for up front.

Do I have to take the recommended supplements?I often recommend supplements as part of my Nutrition protocols, but it is absolutely your choice whether or not you want to take them. Supplements support the health and body systems but are not replacements for a diet of nutrient-dense foods.
